Workshop! Paint Your HeArt Open! (November)

A monthly process painting session, open to all — no experience, no agenda, no product to produce. Each session is a 3-hour held space where participants paint freely, guided by the principle that the creative process matters more than the outcome. Participants leave feeling more connected to themselves, their body, and a community of people who showed up for the same thing.

Intro to Copper Plate Etching
with Walter F. Allen-Henderson
In this 6-week class, we will begin with the basics of Copper Plate Etching. In the first class, we will learn line etching, later adding shading and textures through the application of aquatint and soft ground.
This is an introductory class intended for beginners. No supplies needed for the first class. The Drawing Studio has supplies at cost for this class--price and needs will be discussed at the first class session.
Workshop! Expressive Abstract Art & Creative Writing
with Albert Kogel
Create a unique image using specific abstract drawing techniques. Following the abstract art creation, follow a series of creating writing activities that will serve to explore the creative process, merging creativity with awareness. The session will complete with art showcasing and an open mic.

Saturday Evening Figure Drawing Salon
Join us on the first Saturday of every month for an evening of Figure Drawing with a live model! Starting in September, in our new studio, experience our figure drawing community while receiving a small demonstration and light direction from one of our amazing Teaching Artists. Snacks and beverages provided!
Please bring your own supplies. Accepted mediums include: graphite, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, and clay!
No membership required!
